Humaira Hussain, M.S. CCC-SLP

Speech Therapist & Translator

Hello, my name is Humaira Hussain, and I have been practicing as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Rochester, NY for the past 10 years. I currently continue to provide services in various languages but mostly Spanish and Arabic.

I was raised in a Navy household which allowed me to travel and live in various parts of the world, learn how to speak multiple languages proficiently, and become culturally and linguistically diverse. I graduated from Nazareth College of Rochester and hold a Bachelors in Communications and Sciences Disorders and a Masters's in Speech-Language Pathology.

Over the past years, I have gained extensive experience, knowledge, and training in working with children and young adults who have psychiatric concerns and worked in various organizations such as hospitals, nursing homes, outpatient clinics, private and public schools.

In addition to my work in the community, I dedicate my time and services as a teletherapy provider and have spent countless hours learning and obtaining new technology to make remote therapy sessions accessible and interactive for young children.

I am currently licensed in the states of New York, West Virginia, and Colorado and practice Speech-Language Therapy in-person and remotely. I have a keen interest in working with children with developmental disabilities and/or mental health disorders and a passion for ensuring that services are accessible to my clients despite their demographics, language, or ethnicity. I look forward to working with you and your child and helping them reach communication and feeding goals.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two daughters. As a family, our favorite activity is horseback riding, but we also enjoy outdoor activities and being around animals.

Deliluz Roubert, M.S. CCC-SLP

Speech Therapist & Translator

Hi, my name is Deliluz Roubert and I am originally from Ponce, Puerto Rico. I graduated from the University of Puerto Rico and hold a Bachelor's degree in Spanish Studies and a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

I moved to the United States in 2016 and settled in the state of Georgia with my family, where I practiced Speech-Language Therapy in the school-age setting. After five years of living abroad, I decided to relocate back to my home country to the tropical warmth and familiar faces that I missed so much.

Professionally, I have worked mostly with preschoolers and school-age children. Being a native Spanish speaker, I became a bilingual diagnostician for students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade. In this position, I gained tremendous experience in the field of bilingualism and developed a strong passion for linguistics, pediatric dysphagia, and early intervention.

I am licensed in New York, Texas, California, and Puerto Rico, where I can put my bilingual skills and expertise to the service of a culturally and linguistically diverse population. I am excited to join Lift Up Your Voice in serving the community!

In my spare time, I love to spend time outdoors with my family and curl up in front of the TV with my cat, Mimi.

Zinaida Natanelova, M.S. CCC-SLP TSSLD

Speech Therapist

Hi! My name is Zinaida I am from Queens, NY. I am a speech therapist that is fluent in Russian and English.

I completed my undergraduate degree at Queens College with a double major in Communication Sciences and Disorders and Psychology and then attended a Masters Program for Speech Language Pathology at Touro College. While doing my externships I had exposed myself to various settings such as school, nursing home, outpatient clinic, and various facilities trying to gain the skills and experience that would help me become an excellent therapist.

I started working in early intervention, working closely with the parents and giving them the proper tools and strategies to enable their child’s progress. Later, I moved on to working at a preschool setting with the developmental delayed children such as children with language, articulation, autism and many more disorders.

Having more than five years experience as an SLP working in various pediatric settings, I provide excellent care to each child giving them the skills needed to improve. I am creative, patient, loving and passionate about each child I treat. I believe these attributes are important to facilitate growth in your child.

Furthermore, I am constantly learning new evidenced based practice techniques and enjoy tailoring the session based on the child’s preferences to better engage them and help your child grow. I am eager and looking forward to working with you and your family.

I am licensed in New York, Arizona, and Florida.

In my spare time, I enjoy baking, traveling, and spending time with my family.

Helping You Get Healthy

I began my career in 1990, after graduating from SUNY Geneseo with a Bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology. Later I went on to complete my Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from Nazareth College in Rochester, NY.

In 2002, I started Lift Up Your Voice working privately and providing bilingual services to early intervention and Preschool children with various developmental disabilities such as cleft palates, autism, and hearing loss. Over the past 25 years, I’ve worked in many elementary schools, private schools for emotionally disturbed and learning disabled teenagers and nursing homes.

I’ve worked closely with psychiatrists and school psychologists learning the characteristics of psychiatric problems, learning disabilities, and troubled teenagers. I have experience with patients of all ages identifying and treating autism, neurogenic speech disorders, feeding and swallowing rehabilitation, bedside swallowing evaluations, and treating adult-acquired speech and language disorders.

As a bilingual individual, my experience with the Spanish language has made it possible for me to identify developmental phonological error patterns and recognize language delays in young children. I've advocated for families and clients by providing translation services for school committees and early intervention service teams.

Today, I continue to provide bilingual speech services as well as translation services while working daily to facilitate impactful change in the lives of bilingual children.

Taking Care of You

Hi! My name is Kelsey and I am originally from Wisconsin.

I completed my undergraduate degree in Spanish at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and then moved to Queens, New York to pursue my master’s degree in speech and language pathology. My husband’s work brought us upstate and here we’ve stayed!

With more than 8 years of experience as an SLP in differing venues such as the hospital, nursing home, outpatient clinic, and school, I have always enjoyed building relationships and advocating for the Hispanic population through bilingual speech and language services.

Furthermore, I continually challenge myself to learn as much as I can about the most helpful and individualized evidence-based therapeutic practices for the people. and families that I work with. Not only are children really fun to work with, but it is such a joy to see them grow and improve. And it is even more rewarding to see how proud their families are when they’ve supported and contributed to that growth.  I look forward to working with you and your family!

Helping You Get Healthy

Originally from Seattle, WA, I hold a B.A. degree in Economics from the University of Washington and an M.S. degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Nova Southeastern University.  I moved to San Diego, CA in 2001 and worked in Human Resources recruiting teachers for the San Diego County Office of Education. It was there that I learned about Speech-Language Pathology and became inspired to make a career change.

I have over five years of experience in the Speech-Language Pathology field and have worked in a variety of settings, including public schools, private clinics,  in-home, and teletherapy. I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals of a variety of ages, from toddlers and preschoolers to elementary, middle, and high school students, to adults.  My experience includes providing treatment in a variety of areas, such as articulation and phonology, receptive and expressive language, pragmatic language, and fluency.  I am grateful every day that I have the opportunity to work in such a meaningful and rewarding career with so many wonderful individuals and their families.

In my free time, I enjoy going on outdoor adventures with my family, running with my terrier-mix Butterball, and traveling.
